I’m doing my first Top 10 Tuesday post. I’m trying to get into taking part in the weekly challenge as I love how it brings the book blogging community together!
This week is a Valentine’s Day freebie, so we can choose whatever topic we want that relates to Valentine’s Day in any way, so I decided to share ten books about Black Love.

Romance is not my favorite genre to read but recently I have been reading a lot more and enjoying it. There has been more and more representation happening in the romance genre with more black authors telling black love stories. With the rise in self-publishing the barriers of traditional publishing is almost non-existent. Thankfully, traditional publishing is increasing their roster of black writers to tell these stories. Reading Black romance novels have brought joy to me during these difficult times. To quote, Carole V. Bell, “The black experience in America isn’t all about struggle. Black romance novels remind us it’s also about joy.”
